Welcome back to a new blog! In this post, we’ll explore the European countries accessible to students from Pakistan on a budget of Rs 20 lakhs. We’ll discuss the overall costs, processes, and visa requirements for each destination. Stay tuned for a comprehensive guide!
Factors to Consider:
The primary concern for many parents is budgeting. Understanding the costs and expenses involved in sending their children abroad for education is crucial. It’s important to evaluate whether to pursue studies locally after completing FSC or to send children abroad for further education, especially if they have completed their Bachelor’s degree. The decision ultimately depends on your financial capacity.
Overview of Selected Countries:
I have selected seven countries based on their feasibility, cost, and visa appointment issues. Notably, Germany and Italy are excluded due to significant appointment problems despite their low educational costs.
Country Rankings:
7. France:
In France, you can manage within a budget of Rs 20 lakhs if your CGPA is above 3.5 or around 85%. Admission to national fee universities is possible, and the visa process is handled from Pakistan without appointment issues. A bank statement of Rs 25 to 30 lakhs is required. Many students have successfully obtained visas within this budget.
6. Austria:
Austria is known for its low-cost education, with master’s fees similar to bachelor’s fees. The process may take around a year or more due to document legalization. The admission criteria have become more stringent, requiring a minimum of 70-80% marks. The total cost can be managed within Rs 10 lakhs, but patience is necessary for the legalization process.
5. Czech Republic:
The Czech Republic is an attractive low-budget destination with university fees ranging from Rs 3000 to Rs 4000. Admission requires the verification of documents by local authorities, which can be time-consuming. However, the total cost is manageable within Rs 15 to 16 lakhs. The country has two intakes: spring and autumn.
4. Hungary:
Hungary offers scholarships through a collaboration between the Pakistani and Hungarian governments, with low tuition fees (around 3000 to 4000 Euros). A bank statement of Rs 30 to 50 lakhs is required for the visa application process, which takes around 5 to 6 months. The visa ratio is good, and students generally do not face significant appointment issues.
3. Romania:
Romania is a viable option for students with a budget of Rs 15 to 17 lakhs. The process requires a medical certificate, police clearance, and health certificate during admission. Although the education standard is not as high as in other European countries, degrees from Romanian universities are recognized.
2. Latvia:
Latvia, a Baltic country, has a high visa ratio (near 100%). The tuition fees are between Rs 3000 to Rs 4000, and the overall budget remains within Rs 20 lakhs. Admission is possible without IELTS or any English tests. However, securing an appointment can be challenging due to high demand.
1. Lithuania:
Lithuania has not rejected any student visas in recent intakes. The overall budget, including university fees and consultant fees, can be managed within Rs 20 to 21 lakhs. Universities in Lithuania offer good education and have a high job placement rate.
Conclusion:
Selecting a suitable country for education is vital for students from Pakistan. Countries like Lithuania, Latvia, and Hungary not only offer affordable education but also have a favorable visa process. Investing in education abroad can provide students with better career opportunities and contribute positively to their personal development.
