Jobs in Italy 2024 | Real life experience | Part time jobs

First of all, I am a student, and for the new students who come, let me give you a little overview of how the story starts. The process is done, your visa has been granted. Your classes start from the first week of October or the last week of September.

It is important that you bring at least 2000 Euros with you. Bringing 2000 Euros with you means that when you arrive here, you have to support yourself for the first two, three, or four months. All your expenses, your rent, and other documentation you have to do with your own money. You get your scholarship till December or after Christmas. If you imagine the worst, then if you get the money a little earlier, it will be easy for you, and you will also be happy. By the time your expenses are about to end, the money you have brought with you has started to end, then your scholarship comes.

If for some reason your documents get rejected, and your name does not come on the list, you have not got the scholarship. By then your semester ends in January and your exams start. If you somehow manage to crack the exams of the first semester, then after the exam session is over, you can start working. The suggestion is that you should bring a minimum of 2000 Euros with you so that your initial time passes very smoothly.

Why Do You Work?

So, brother, why do you work after the first semester or if your scholarship is not available, or you need extra money? If you want to make it, then there are these two reasons. If you are a student and you are getting a scholarship, then you can leave your work, study comfortably, and get a good degree. If you get a job, your starting salary is around 1500-2000 Euros.

If you don’t have a scholarship, then how much can you earn by working, how much can you save in a month, and what are your expenses? First of all, you cannot work more than 20 hours every week. In my opinion, if you work four hours a day on weekdays, you can complete 20 hours by working the whole day on weekends.

You must have heard many YouTubers saying that you can earn 2000, 3000, or 4000 Euros per month through your studies. All these things happen simultaneously, but I have done part-time work in Italy last year. I have worked as a delivery boy and in a restaurant, so I know everything according to my experience.

If you want to work, the work options in Italy are the delivery boy, which means delivering food to homes. The money is good for that. If you are a new student and do not have a residence permit but have applied for it, you can work with a receipt called Riche Vuta. If you are eligible, you can work on that.

You can work 20 hours a week, and you can make 600-700 Euros in a month. If you have a scholarship, you can save around 2300 Euros per month. If you are a big saver, you can save even more.

Job Options

You will be able to save Euros, otherwise it does not happen. The options you have include pizza shops and other food places, like Pakistani, Bengali, Sri Lankan, and Chinese shops.

If you work as a gravel worker, you can earn a minimum of 5 Euros and a maximum of 6-7 Euros. I used to work part-time for 6 Euros, for three to four hours a day. According to my expenses, you can imagine how much I used to save.

If you work on a daily basis and have a contract for your work, you can work for 20 hours. If you do not have a contract, you can work for more than 20 hours. I did not have a contract and used to work six days a week for four hours a day. You can calculate how much you make; I used to make up to 5600 Euros in a month.

Beyond that, my monthly expenses included rent, groceries, and shopping. I used to save up to 400, sometimes 450 Euros, but I used to save around 150 Euros every month. You can save more by keeping expenses to a minimum, or you can reduce your savings or even increase your expenses.

As far as contract work is concerned, if you are a student with a residence permit, you can work for a proper 8 hours. If you are a student, you will get a contract as per your capacity. If you are not a student and have a residence permit or work permit, you can work for 8 hours daily. Your salary can be 1500, 1800, or 2000 Euros.

Some people need helpers, and a contract is given for 20 hours a week, and the rest of the money is paid in cash. This option is a bit illegal, known as black money and black work. But students, when they reach here, work part-time and study along with it.

When they see that money is coming in, they become more inclined to work. Some students are smart; they work part-time but focus more on their studies. I would say, give maximum priority to your studies. As soon as you complete your degree, you can earn double what you used to earn in part-time jobs.

If you earned 800 Euros per month in part-time work, a proper job can pay you 1600-2000 Euros.

Conclusion

What I mean to say is, do your degree quickly. If you want to get a job, then do it. I hope you liked the blog. If I have said something wrong, I am sorry. If there is anything else I could not mention, feel free to ask in the comment section.
